Discovering the beauty and utility hidden in deadfall and old timber is both an art and a science. Tom carefully selects each block, and then ages it to balance its humidity before roughcutting and aging again.
Only then does the craft of woodturning come into play… removing extraneous material to reveal the object hidden in the wood. Each piece is then sanded, may be stained, and is finally treated with a foodsafe finish.
